CVE-2014-6736: EPL Hat Trick Android app lets attackers steal data

CVE-2014-6736 · published 12 years ago
Summary

The EPL Hat Trick version 1.0 for Android does not check the security certificates presented by the servers it connects to. This lets a malicious actor pretend to be a legitimate server and capture any information the app sends, such as personal or login details. Install any available update from the vendor or stop using the app until it is fixed, and avoid transmitting sensitive data over public Wi‑Fi.
