CVE-2014-6173: IBM BPM Process Inspector lets logged‑in users run malicious scripts

CVE-2014-6173 · published 11 years ago
Summary

The Process Inspector feature in IBM Business Process Manager versions 8.0 up to 8.0.1.3 and 8.5 up to 8.5.5 can be tricked by a specially crafted web address to run unwanted code in a user's browser. An attacker who is already logged in could inject script or HTML, potentially stealing session information or manipulating what the user sees. Apply the latest IBM security update or patch for BPM and restrict access to the Process Inspector to trusted users.
