CVE-2014-2600: HP IceWall can be crashed by logged‑in users

CVE-2014-2600 · published 12 years ago
Summary

The IceWall Identity Manager (versions 4.0 through 5.0) and the IceWall SSO password‑reset option can be forced to stop working by an attacker who is already logged in. This happens when the software uses a file‑upload component, allowing the attacker to overload the system and cause a denial of service. Apply the latest security updates from HP or disable the vulnerable password‑reset feature until a patch is available.
