CVE-2014-2014: imapsync may send passwords in clear text on TLS errors

CVE-2014-2014 · published 12 years ago
Summary

The imapsync tool (versions before 1.584) can fall back to an unencrypted login if a TLS certificate check fails. This could let an eavesdropper on the network capture user credentials. Update to the latest version of imapsync or disable the TLS option until the issue is fixed.
