CVE-2013-6742: IBM Sametime Meeting Server may store passwords in browser

CVE-2013-6742 · published 12 years ago
Summary

The Meeting Server component in IBM Sametime versions 8.5.2 through 8.5.2.1 and 9.x through 9.0.0.1 does not tell browsers not to remember the password field. This can let a remote attacker who gains access to an unattended computer retrieve the saved password and log in. Apply the latest security update from IBM or configure the server to disable password autocomplete to protect against this risk.
