CVE-2013-6491: OpenStack Oslo python‑qpid client may send data unencrypted

CVE-2013-6491 · published 12 years ago
Summary

The python‑qpid component used by OpenStack Oslo (versions before the 2013.2 release) does not require a secure (SSL/TLS) connection even when it is configured to do so. This means that data traveling between OpenStack services could be captured by an eavesdropper on the network. Upgrade to the 2013.2 release or later, or apply the vendor’s patch, to ensure communications are protected.
