CVE-2013-6404: Quassel IRC server lets logged-in users view others' chat history

CVE-2013-6404 · published 12 years ago
Summary

The Quassel IRC server (core daemon) before version 0.9.2 does not correctly check who is requesting a chat backlog, so any user who can log in can potentially read another user's past messages. This exposes private conversations and could be misused for information gathering. Upgrade to version 0.9.2 or later, or apply any official patches, to ensure proper access checks.
