CVE-2013-6396: OpenStack Swift Client Library Fails to Verify SSL Certificates, Allowing Spoofing

CVE-2013-6396 · published 12 years ago
Summary

If you use the OpenStack Swift client library, a hacker could pretend to be a trusted server and steal your sensitive information. This is because the library doesn't check the server's identity when it connects to it. To fix this, update the library to a version that checks SSL certificates.
