CVE-2013-4450: Node.js HTTP server can be crashed by many pipelined requests

CVE-2013-4450 · published 13 years ago
Summary

The built‑in web server in older Node.js versions (0.10 before .21 and 0.8 before .26) can be overloaded when an attacker sends a flood of pipelined requests and never reads the replies. This consumes memory and CPU, potentially stopping the server from handling legitimate traffic. Upgrade Node.js to a newer version or apply the official patch to stop the overload.
