CVE-2013-2796: Schneider Electric SCADA software can leak files and crash
CVE-2013-2796 · published 13 years ago
Summary
Versions of Vijeo Citect, CitectSCADA and PowerLogic SCADA up to 7.20 let a remote attacker view any file on the system, make the server contact internal web services, or overload the CPU and memory to make it stop responding. This happens because the software improperly processes specially crafted XML data. Update to the latest patched version and limit external access to the SCADA web interface while the fix is applied.
What to do
The CVE record does not list a fixed version. Check the vendor's site or the advisory links below - a fix may already be released.
