CVE-2013-1031: Apple macOS before 10.8.5 can let nearby attackers bypass lock
CVE-2013-1031 · published 13 years ago
Summary
Versions of Apple macOS prior to 10.8.5 may fail to lock the screen when a power‑related request occurs, letting someone nearby walk up to an unattended computer and gain access. This can expose sensitive data or allow unauthorized actions. Update macOS to version 10.8.5 or later, and ensure screen‑saver and lock settings are correctly configured.
