CVE-2012-1123: MantisBT SOAP API lets attackers log in without password

CVE-2012-1123 · published 14 years ago
Summary

The SOAP interface in MantisBT versions before 1.2.9 does not correctly check passwords, so a remote user can send a login request with an empty password and gain access. This could allow an unauthorized person to view or change issue data. Upgrade MantisBT to version 1.2.9 or later, or apply the recommended patch, to enforce proper authentication.
