CVE-2012-0239: Advantech WebAccess lets attackers change admin password without proper login
CVE-2012-0239 · published 14 years ago
Summary
The WebAccess web interface (versions before 7.0) does not verify a user’s identity before accepting a password‑change request. This means a remote attacker could reset the administrator password and gain control of the system. Upgrade to version 7.0 or later, or apply the vendor’s patch, and ensure strong network access controls.
What to do
The CVE record does not list a fixed version. Check the vendor's site or the advisory links below - a fix may already be released.
