CVE-2011-4541: Hastymail2 2.1.1 lets attackers insert malicious scripts

CVE-2011-4541 · published 14 years ago
Summary

The web interface of Hastymail2 version 2.1.1 (before the RC2 release) can be tricked into running code that an attacker supplies when a user opens a draft email. This could allow a remote attacker to steal data, hijack the user's session, or display unwanted content. Upgrade to the latest Hastymail2 release or apply the vendor’s patch; if an upgrade is not possible, restrict or disable the draft feature until it is fixed.
