CVE-2011-3242: Safari before 5.1.1 may let sites track you in private mode
CVE-2011-3242 · published 15 years ago
Summary
The Private Browsing feature in Safari versions earlier than 5.1.1 on Mac OS X does not honor the setting that should always block cookies. Because of this, web sites can place tracking cookies even when you think you are browsing privately. Update Safari to version 5.1.1 or later, or adjust your cookie settings manually, to stop the tracking.
