CVE-2011-2916: qtnx 0.9 exposes SSH private keys to other users
CVE-2011-2916 · published 6 years ago
Summary
The qtnx 0.9 program saves default SSH keys in a configuration file that anyone on the same machine can read. If a user's home folder is set to allow all users to read or execute, another local user could copy that private key and connect to remote sessions as the original user. Change the file permissions on the home directory and the qtnx configuration file, or use custom keys, to prevent unauthorized access.
What to do
The CVE record does not list a fixed version. Check the vendor's site or the advisory links below - a fix may already be released.
