CVE-2011-1754: jabberd14 can be crashed by crafted XML
CVE-2011-1754 · published 15 years ago
Summary
The jabberd14 messaging server (versions up to 1.6.1.1) does not stop repeated references in XML messages, which can make it consume all memory and processor power. An attacker sending a specially crafted XML document can cause the service to become unresponsive. Update jabberd14 to a version that fixes this or apply the vendor’s recommended mitigation.
