CVE-2011-0157: Apple iOS <4.3 WebKit lets malicious site hijack or crash

CVE-2011-0157 · published 15 years ago
Summary

The WebKit component in iOS versions older than 4.3 can be tricked by a specially crafted web page to corrupt memory. This may let a remote attacker run their own code on the device or cause the browser to crash, effectively denying service. Upgrade the iPhone or iPad to iOS 4.3 or later, or apply any security updates that Apple provides, and avoid visiting untrusted web sites.
