CVE-2010-5230: MicroStation 7.1 can be tricked to run malicious DLLs
CVE-2010-5230 · published 14 years ago
Summary
MicroStation 7.1 may load DLL files from the current folder when opening certain project files, allowing a local user to place a malicious DLL and have it run with higher privileges. This could let an attacker execute code or take control of the application. Keep the software updated and restrict write access to directories used by MicroStation, or apply vendor patches that enforce safe DLL loading.
