CVE-2010-4388: RealPlayer lets attackers load any ActiveX control

CVE-2010-4388 · published 15 years ago
Summary

Certain web page components in RealPlayer versions 11.0‑11.1, RealPlayer SP 1.0‑1.1.5, and RealPlayer Enterprise 2.1.2‑2.1.3 can be tricked into running code that bypasses the normal security limits on the local computer. This could let a remote hacker load and run arbitrary ActiveX components, potentially exposing the system to further threats. Apply the latest patches from RealNetworks or upgrade to a newer, secured version of RealPlayer as soon as possible.
