CVE-2010-4207: YUI Flash component lets attackers add malicious script

CVE-2010-4207 · published 16 years ago
Summary

Versions 2.4.0 through 2.8.1 of the Yahoo! User Interface library’s Flash charts can be tricked into running attacker‑supplied code. If a site uses this component—such as in Bugzilla, Moodle, or similar web applications—a remote user could insert unwanted web script or HTML, potentially stealing data or hijacking user sessions. Update to a newer YUI release or disable the Flash chart feature to eliminate the risk.
