CVE-2010-3403: Qualcomm eXtensible Diagnostic Monitor can run malicious code
CVE-2010-3403 · published 16 years ago
Summary
The QXDM tool can be tricked into loading a fake DLL that an attacker places in the same folder as a diagnostic file, allowing the attacker to run any program they want on the computer. This can be done by anyone with access to the system, including remote attackers if they can reach the folder. Apply the latest software update or limit write permissions on the QXDM directories to stop the problem.
