CVE-2010-1919: EMC Avamar can crash gsan service via network message

CVE-2010-1919 · published 16 years ago
Summary

The Avamar backup system versions 4.1.x and 5.0 before the first service pack can be forced to stop working when an attacker sends a specially crafted network packet. This stops the gsan service, preventing backups and restores until the system is restarted. Apply the latest service pack or update from EMC to fix the issue.
