CVE-2010-1314: Joomla Highslide component lets attackers read any file

CVE-2010-1314 · published 16 years ago
Summary

The com_hsconfig add‑on for Joomla! (versions 1.5 and 2.0.9) can be tricked into revealing files from the server by using a special ".." path in a request. This lets someone view sensitive configuration or data files without authentication. Update or remove the component, or apply the vendor’s patch, to stop the file‑reading capability.
