CVE-2010-0132: ViewVC search lets attackers run malicious script

CVE-2010-0132 · published 16 years ago
Summary

The ViewVC web interface (versions before 1.1.5 and 1.0.11) lets users perform regular‑expression searches. If that feature is turned on, an attacker can place harmful code into the search box that will run in the browsers of anyone who views the results. Update ViewVC to the latest version or disable the regex search feature to stop this from happening.
