CVE-2010-0035: Windows 2000/2003/2008 domain controller may stop responding

CVE-2010-0035 · published 16 years ago
Summary

When a Windows server that uses Kerberos authentication is connected to a non‑Windows Kerberos realm, an attacker who is already logged in can send a specially crafted request that makes the authentication service crash. This causes the domain controller to go offline, stopping login and other network services. Apply Microsoft’s security updates for the affected Windows versions or remove the non‑Windows trust to prevent the issue.
