CVE-2009-4556: Quick Heal 2009 products allow local users to replace files

CVE-2009-4556 · published 16 years ago
Summary

The 2009 versions of Quick Heal AntiVirus Plus and Total Security store their program files with permissions that let anyone on the computer modify them. This means a regular user could swap a legitimate security file for a malicious program and gain higher privileges. Apply the vendor’s security update or change the file permissions so only trusted system accounts have full control.
