CVE-2009-2896: KMPlayer may crash or run code from crafted subtitle file

CVE-2009-2896 · published 17 years ago
Summary

KMPlayer versions up to 2.9.4.1433 can be tricked by a specially made subtitle file that contains an overly long line. When such a file is opened, the program can stop working or allow an attacker to run their own code on the computer. Update KMPlayer to a newer version or avoid opening untrusted subtitle files.
