CVE-2009-1727: Apple Mac OS X 10.5 enables JavaScript injection in Safari

CVE-2009-1727 · published 17 years ago
Summary

Mac OS X 10.5 (including the server version) before the 10.5.8 update does not block certain file types in Safari, letting a specially crafted web page run unwanted JavaScript when a user initiates a download. This could let an attacker make the browser execute code you did not intend. Install the 10.5.8 update (or later) to restore the proper block list, and avoid downloading files from untrusted sites.
