CVE-2009-0502: Moodle HTML blocks let attackers run malicious code
CVE-2009-0502 · published 17 years ago
Summary
In older Moodle versions (1.6 through 1.9) that use the Snoopy library, the HTML block does not properly clean content that is added. This lets an attacker insert harmful script or HTML, which runs when an administrator uses the "Login as" feature to view a page, potentially exposing data or altering the site. Upgrade Moodle to the patched versions (1.6.9, 1.7.7, 1.8.8, 1.9.4 or later) or apply the vendor's security update.
