CVE-2008-6944: ScriptsFeed Auto Classifieds runs code via logo upload
CVE-2008-6944 · published 17 years ago
Summary
The ScriptsFeed Auto Classifieds website lets logged‑in users upload a profile picture. Because the system does not check the file type, an attacker can upload a program disguised as a logo and then run it by opening the file. Fix the issue by allowing only image files, scanning uploads for dangerous content, and applying any available updates.
