CVE-2008-4602: Post Affiliate Pro allows logged-in users to read local files

CVE-2008-4602 · published 18 years ago
Summary

In Post Affiliate Pro version 2.0, a flaw in the index.php page lets a user who is already logged in insert ".." into a request parameter and view or potentially run any file on the server. This can expose private information or give the attacker a foothold to run code. Fix it by applying the vendor's update or patch, tightening file permissions, and limiting what authenticated users can do on the system.
