CVE-2007-4926: AXIS 207W camera sends login data in readable form

CVE-2007-4926 · published 19 years ago
Summary

The AXIS 207W camera transmits the username and password using only a simple encoding that can be decoded by anyone who can watch the wireless traffic. An attacker on the same network could capture those credentials and gain unauthorized access. Use a secure, encrypted connection, update the camera firmware if a fix is available, and isolate the device on a separate network segment while using strong passwords.
