CVE-2007-4725: 7-Zip allows remote attacker to run code via long filename

CVE-2007-4725 · published 19 years ago
Summary

Versions of 7-Zip older than the 4.53 beta can be tricked into running malicious code when a specially crafted archive contains an overly long file name. An attacker who convinces a user to open such an archive could take control of the computer. Upgrade 7-Zip to the latest version to eliminate this risk.
