CVE-2006-4685 · published 20 years ago
Summary

The XMLHTTP control used in Microsoft XML Parser 2.6 and XML Core Services 3.0‑6.0 does not correctly follow server redirects, letting a remote attacker trick users into loading content from other websites. This can expose your internal users to unintended data or malicious pages. Apply the latest Microsoft updates or disable the XMLHTTP ActiveX control if it is not needed.
