CVE-2006-4083: myEvent 1.x allows attackers to run code via URL

CVE-2006-4083 · published 20 years ago
Summary

The myEvent 1.x web application can be tricked into loading a file from anywhere on the internet when it receives a specially crafted URL in the myevent_path field. This lets a remote attacker make the server execute any PHP code they choose, potentially taking control of the site. Apply any available patches or updates from the vendor and limit web server access to only trusted files.
