CVE-2006-3995: User Home Pages component may let attackers run code remotely

CVE-2006-3995 · published 20 years ago
Summary

Several files in the User Home Pages add‑on for Mambo/Joomla can be fooled into loading code from a web address supplied in a configuration setting. This lets an attacker make the web server execute any PHP code they choose, potentially compromising the whole site. Apply the latest update from the vendor, or uninstall the add‑on if no longer needed, and review the site for any unexpected files or changes.
