CVE-2006-3198: Opera browser may run malicious code from crafted JPEG

CVE-2006-3198 · published 20 years ago
Summary

Older versions of the Opera web browser can be tricked by a specially crafted JPEG image. The image’s unusually large dimensions cause the browser to allocate too little memory, allowing attackers to run their own code on the visitor’s computer. Upgrade the browser to a newer version or use an alternative safe browsing solution.
