CVE-2006-2699: Geeklog getimage.php lets attackers run malicious scripts

CVE-2006-2699 · published 20 years ago
Summary

The getimage.php page in Geeklog versions up to 1.4.0sr2 can be tricked into showing any HTML or script an attacker supplies. This could let a remote user insert harmful code into pages viewed by visitors, potentially stealing data or altering the site appearance. Apply the latest Geeklog update or patch that removes the unsafe handling of the image parameter, and review any custom themes for similar issues.
