CVE-2005-3030: AhnLab V3Pro/VirusBlock/V3Net can be tricked to write files
CVE-2005-3030 · published 21 years ago
Summary
The archive‑unpacking part of AhnLab V3Pro 2004, V3 VirusBlock 2005 and V3Net for Windows Server can be fooled into creating files anywhere on the system when a compressed file contains a ".." in its name. An attacker could place malicious files in sensitive locations, potentially leading to unauthorized code execution or data exposure. Apply the latest security updates from AhnLab or disable automatic extraction of untrusted archives until a patch is installed.
