CVE-2005-2713 · published 20 years ago
Summary

In Mac OS X 10.3 before 10.3.9 and 10.4 before 10.4.5, a user with a normal account could cause the system to create files that anyone can change, and those files are owned by the super‑user (root). This could let the user modify system settings or install malicious software. Upgrade the operating system to 10.3.9, 10.4.5, or later to stop the issue.
