CVE-2005-1601: Maximo Self Service exposes config files via web root

CVE-2005-1601 · published 21 years ago
Summary

The Maximo Self Service 4 and 5 applications store files like MXServer.properties in a web‑accessible folder using extensions that the web server does not handle. Because these files can be requested directly, anyone on the internet could download them and see internal settings. Move such files outside the public web directory or rename them to extensions that the server processes to block direct access.
