CVE-2004-1992: Serv‑U FTP server can crash from long command

CVE-2004-1992 · published 22 years ago
Summary

Versions of SolarWinds Serv‑U FTP server older than 5.0.0.6 contain a bug that lets a specially crafted long "-l" option cause the program to read beyond its data and stop working. This can make the FTP service unavailable for users. Update the server to version 5.0.0.6 or later, or apply any patch the vendor provides, to stop the crash.
