CVE-2004-1758: WebLogic Server stores DB passwords in readable file

CVE-2004-1758 · published 22 years ago

Certain older versions of BEA WebLogic Server keep database usernames and passwords in plain text inside the configuration file. This means anyone with local access to the server can read those credentials and potentially access the database. Update to a supported version or reconfigure the server to protect the file and use encrypted credentials.
