CVE-2004-0467: Juniper JUNOS can stop routing when flooded with MPLS traffic

CVE-2004-0467 · published 21 years ago
Summary

JUNOS versions 5.x through 7.x can have their routing function shut down if an attacker sends a large amount of special network packets (MPLS). The system doesn’t check these packets before processing them, which can slow down or halt normal traffic. Apply the latest updates from Juniper and enable any offered packet‑filtering options to protect your network.
