CVE-2004-0425: SiteMinder Affiliate Agent lets attackers run code via cookie
CVE-2004-0425 · published 22 years ago
Summary
The SiteMinder Affiliate Agent (version 4.x) can be tricked by a specially crafted SMPROFILE cookie to overflow its memory and allow an attacker to run their own code on the server. This could let a remote attacker take control of the affected system. Apply the latest security patch from the vendor or upgrade to a newer version, and ensure that cookie handling is tightly monitored.
