CVE-2003-0796: IRIX rpc.mountd lets remote users mount filesystems
CVE-2003-0796 · published 22 years ago
Summary
The rpc.mountd service in SGI IRIX versions 6.5.18 to 6.5.22 can be tricked into allowing connections from any network port, even when the security option is turned off. This could let an outsider attach to your file system and access data they shouldn’t see. Apply the vendor’s patch or upgrade to a newer IRIX release that corrects the behavior.
