CVE-2003-0621: BEA Tuxedo/WebLogic Console can reveal hidden files
CVE-2003-0621 · published 22 years ago
Summary
The admin console for BEA Tuxedo 8.1 and earlier, as well as WebLogic Server, lets a remote user send a specially crafted request that checks whether files exist outside the web directory. This can help an attacker discover sensitive configuration or data files. Apply the vendor's security updates and restrict console access to trusted administrators, while ensuring input validation for the INIFILE parameter.
What to do
The CVE record does not list a fixed version. Check the vendor's site or the advisory links below - a fix may already be released.
