CVE-2003-0168: QuickTime Player Windows could run malicious code

CVE-2003-0168 · published 23 years ago
Summary

The Windows version of Apple QuickTime Player (versions 5.x and 6.0) can be tricked by a specially crafted QuickTime link to overflow its memory buffer. This allows an attacker who sends the link to a user to run any program they choose on that user's computer. Apply the latest QuickTime updates or disable QuickTime on Windows to eliminate the risk.
