CVE-2002-1626: Mike Spice My Calendar lets attackers write files

CVE-2002-1626 · published 23 years ago
Summary

The My Calendar web tool (versions before 1.5) can be tricked into saving files anywhere on the server by using special ".." paths in a web address. This could let a remote attacker place malicious code or replace existing files, potentially compromising the system. Upgrade to version 1.5 or later, or apply the vendor's patch, and verify file permissions to limit write access.
